Our Team

Chuy and Karla are the founders of Project Puente. Chuy was born and raised in Mexico City and Karla was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area to a Salvadoran family. They both have almost 25 years of ministry experience, and in the last 10 years, Chuy has planted and pastored in Mexico and the United States. They are the proud parents of Joel, Luciana, Sofia and Caleb.

They are passionate about helping pastors who serve in Latin America and who face urgent and critical needs.  The contrasting realities between the U.S. and Latin America make their heart ache for their fellow pastors, pastor’s wives and children.

Chuy holds degrees in Biblical Studies, Practical Theology & Music Composition. Karla holds degrees in Music and Biblical Counseling.
