Our Team

Chuy and Karla are the founders of Project Puente. Chuy was born and raised in Mexico City and Karla was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area to Salvadoran parents. They both have almost 25 years of ministry experience, and in the last 10 years, Chuy has church planted and pastored in Mexico and the United States. They are the proud parents of Joel, Luciana, Sofia and Caleb.

Helping faithful pastors in Latin America facing urgent and critical needs burdens their hearts.  The contrasting realities between the U.S. and Latin America make want to take action.

Chuy holds degrees in Biblical Studies, Practical Theology & Music Composition. Karla holds a degree in Music and Worship Studies and has experience working in the Christian non-profit humanitarian sector.
